This place is so delicious. It's definitely a special occasion kind of spot as is it pretty pricey but when we do get to come, we enjoy it a lot. We recently visited for an Anniversary dinner and everyone was great. We brought along our toddler and were nervous since it's a nice place ,but they had an amazing kid menu and made him feel so welcome. Our food and appetizers were delicious. I will say, the waitress kept trying to upsell us on a lot of things, but we understood. The star of the show was the butterfish. It melts in your mouth and has such a nice sweet and umami flavor. The forbidden rice pairs amazingly with it. Their short ribs are also delicious.

We had THE MOST AMAZING DINNER at Roy's tonight! Our server, Parker made the whole experience an absolute delight. We are on our honeymoon, and this was the best meal we had all week. The ahi poke nachos are HEAVENLY. I will fantasize about them forever. Crab cakes were outstanding, as was the blackened ahi ( the freshest fish I've ever had), and the snapper and shrimp. Gorgeous, decadent chocolate soufflé was the perfect dessert. Thank you Arnie, Parker and Brandon for this truly wonderful experience.

The restaurant was very busy, creating a great atmosphere. The service was excellent; although it took a little time for our food to arrive, the waiter kindly informed us that they were overwhelmed with customers. This only indicated how popular and delicious their food was. The only disappointing item was the Brussels sprouts, which were overcooked and a bit charred. However, everything else we ordered was amazing, and I would definitely recommend this place.

We had an amazing experience at Roy's Waikoloa celebrating our son's 20th birthday. They were super friendly, inviting and made us feel very welcomed. Our server was amazing. She spent the time to walk us through some of the items and answer our questions and make sure we had all that we wanted. Even giving us recommendations on sights and places to see at the end of our dinner. The food was amazing. Great appetizers like poke nachos, short ribs and edamame. Delicious salads and amazing entrees. We had a few fish dishes that they're known for and their ribeye. All were great. Ended with a great dessert birthday medley of cakes, soufflé & ice cream. Can't say enough about the overall experience and how welcoming they were. If you've ever been to a Roy's property then you know you'll get treated well and the ambiance of the place will be top notch. Would highly recommend it if you're in the area.

I ordered the Brussels Sprouts Caesar Dressing | Crispy Bacon | Parmesan Cheese. Outstanding! Creamy but rich. Enough to share with 3-4. I'd order again. For dinner I ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish Sizzling Soy | Bok Choy | Forbidden Rice. Amazing fish perfectly grilled. Service was slow. Dinner was served over an hour from ordering. Water glass never emptied. Loved the atmosphere!

We love trying out all the different Roy's restaurants throughout the islands! This one in particular definitely had its own twist. Located in Kings Shops at Waikoloa village, it's about a 5 minute shuttle ride from Hilton Waikoloa ($5 per way per person). Views from our table overlooked the lake. (: My husband and I aren't really good at trying new things so of course we got what we knew we'd like. I got the miso butter fish and he got the ribeye with poke nachos go start us off. The rice was definitely different for me, but I can't say I didn't like it! It was a cool twist on one of their signature dishes. I would rate my husband's steak a 10/10. Nachos 9/10, lumpy was super fresh! Chocolate soufflé, 100000/10! Seriously, I look forward to it everyone we visit a Roy's restaurant.

This is the first time we went to this Roys. My wife made the reservations. We were so glad that they had a Roys on the Big Island. We arrived and were seated right away. There were. A lot of people were already seated in the restaurant. There were some paintings on the wall, but the lower dining area seemed bland and needed something. Our server arrived right away and asked for our drink order. They had some Japanese whiskey. I got the Yamizaki 12 which was very good. We started with the bbq ribs which hit the spot. Then both of us had the butter fish, which is our favorite. It was our anniversary so they gave us a little dessert for free. We are Marriott vacation members, and we got free lava cake too. Love Roys and the service was amazing. The waiter was checking on us when needed. Perfect time here

I tend to love Roy's restaurants so was a bit concerned when I read the reviews on this location. Regardless I decided to give it a try and so glad I did. First impression it's tucked away in the King's shopping center, upon entering it's nothing fancy, but you do have a view of the pond in the background. I decided to dine at the bar as I checked in early and the happy hour menu had quite the selection. I ordered the Szechwan ribs to start - so yummy! Meat was nice and tender and full of flavor. For my main I went with the misoyaki butterfly fish. Hands down my favorite thing to get. The fish came piping hot and was full of flavor, however the rice and broccoli was not warm. Don't get me wrong, the dish was delicious, however wish the entire dish was at the same temp - warm. Tried the pineapple upside down cake as well. It was good and full of flavor. The carmel drizzle on the side enhanced the flavor profile. If I could change anything I would sub the ice cream for vanilla bean.. just a personal preference. All in all it was a great dining experience. Staff was super friendly and I'd definitely come back again.
